Keeping it cool with cold room shelving

The School of Artisan Food recently purchased some of our solid polymer shelving, here's a little insight into how they put them to use.

The award winning cookery school is situated in picturesque Welbeck, Nottinghamshire, since it's formation in 2009 it has seen some 5,000 students through its doors. It specialises in providing practical and educational training from diploma level to short courses including baking and patisserie, brewing and cheese making. Their courses are designed for people of all ages and suit novices through to those with more experience who may already be working in the industry.

Solid polymer shelving was the perfect choice for the school as it is suitable for use in cold and damp environments, the shelves are conveniently coated in an antibacterial plastic for extra peace of mind when storing food. The shelves hold a weight of up to 360kg per shelf and so are also great for storing heavier materials. Chris Smith, said "We're currently using your products as we've had a reorganise of the storage in the school. We're increasing the volume of courses that we offer and has meant an increase in the back of house, the shelves from you were perfect for one of our cold rooms and I'm sure we’ll get more as we continue to expand".
